Security is central to modern communications, but an understanding of that security is far from universal even within the industry. This course covers the most important aspects of security within modern communications networks, including GSM’s security-through-obscurity, mechanisms used in modern data networks, internet security, ciphers and keyexchange systems, and the different protocols and algorithms that are employed. Delegates will understand the resilience, and limitations, of the infrastructure as it stands, and as it is being developed, including the political forces which still influence the deployment of security around the world.
